Tasting Geisha Coffee in Casco Viejo, Panama City
During our stay in Panama City, we set aside an afternoon for something we’d been curious about for a while: the Geisha coffee experience in Casco Viejo. We tried the Geisha Tasting Menu, a guided experience designed to showcase what makes this coffee so unique.

A Guided Taste
We were walked through 3 different coffees — same bean, different processing methods. Each one brought out new flavors, from light florals to citrus and stone fruit. The guide explained everything which helped us taste what makes Geisha different. It also came with pallet cleansers (and a lot of cold water).

We would do it again
While we aren’t those that would spend $10 on a cup of coffee every day — hello 90cent espressos <3 — this was VERY good coffee and it didn’t feel like too much. I was a bit worried I’d end up jittery, but I think the caffeine load must be fairly mellow and the coffee was NOT acidic. Cost was 44$ for two and I tipped $5 (Pamana uses the USD…which is weird for me, but also makes things easy).
