Keats - Shelley House Rome, Italy
This is the first door directly to the right of the bottom of the Spanish Steps. They open at 10-1 and 2-6pm M-S.
I went on a Saturday morning and was first, in a line of one. This museum is dedicated to the British romatic poets John Keats and Percy Shelly (husband of Mary Shelly).
Keats died there in 1821 at the age of 25. His bedroom is preserved in the museum.
The exhibition rooms and the library contain hand written correspondence and curiosities associated with the lives of the various poets. If you are at all a fan of literature during this timeperiod - it is well worth the stop.
I was the only person - besides the two employees - in the first hour opening on a Saturday. It was well worth the 5-7 euro.
